A new year, a new beginning. To me each new year brings endless possibilities and everlasting hope promised by the Lord. I know, especially from the tragedies we all witnessed in 2012 that life is not promised to be easy but we are promised a way in the wilderness for the Lord our God is with us.
In Isaiah 43 God tells us when we pass through the waters and the fire he will not let it overtake us. We are also reminded fear not for he is with us. No matter what trial or tragedy you face, he is there to walk with you.
I REMAIN HOPEFUL. I walk into this new year in boldness hoping that I find new opportunities, new blessings, new strengths and a stronger peace restful in the father above.
My challenge to myself (because lets face it, with new years resolutions I fail miserably) is to grow in the word of God, to be able to trust his plan for me. My challenge is to continue as a strong couple in love with my husband Thomas as we head toward 19 years together. To also continue to be an example to our daughter and young people all around us. My challenge is to love more, be more compassionate and more giving. My challenge will be to be healthier and more financially secure so that we don't have to worry where any government takes us.
It is my challenge to you to take care of yourself and your family trusting in the Lord Jesus with all you have and all you are.
'...May the God of hope fill you will all joy and peace. ' Romans 15:13 NIV
'...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.' John 10:10 KJV
'...Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. ' I Corinthians 2:9 KJV
Happy New Year and happy hoping, trusting and believing for life lived in abundance.
