March For Babies

Every year we participate in the March for Babies walk sponsored by the March of Dimes.

We walk now in memory of our granddaughter Chloe Grace who would have been 4 years old this year. People may wonder why we support the March of Dimes and to be honest before Chloe we just   walked because it was a local company led fundraiser. Now we walk because the March of Dimes touched our lives when we needed them the most.

With donations to March for Babies you give hope to the more than half a million babies born too soon each year. The money supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. And it funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten our babies. For us personally they provided resources in the NICU. Our time spent in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for the 7 days Chloe was alive was life changing. We met nurses that were angels on earth.

When Chloe went to heaven and it was time for us to go our daughter received a beautiful keepsake box from the March of Dimes NICU family support that held her footprints, a picture, a bracelet, grief resources, and much more. We were all so touched by the contents and care of that box.

The March of Dimes is partnered with the hospital to provide educational material, sibling support, parent comfort and even scrap booking pages of your precious baby.

For us the Walk always lands on the anniversary week of Chloe's birth and death making the walk a celebration of her birthday.

This year the walk is April 27th.

We are raising money for the March of Dimes and are including links below if you would like to give or spread the word.

Sometimes you don't know where your money goes when you give to a charitable organization but we know first hand it is well spent.
